Without you it’s all rubbish

Cheshire West and Chester and Cheshire East Councils
currently have around 50 Waste Reduction Volunteers covering both
borough areas and are keen to increase these numbers via two
training days as part of a recruitment drive.
Volunteers are recruited and trained in initiatives such as ‘Home Composting’ and ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ so that they can then go out into their local communities to give talks or attend events and encourage residents to home compost and reduce the amount of food they throw away.
The next scheduled training day will be held on Saturday 19 May at Delamere Forest Education Centre. For further information or to book a place, contact Catherine Evans, Waste Awareness Officer, on 01244 973167 or e-mail: catherine.evans@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.
