Funding opportunities and growth top agenda at Brighter Business event

Cheshire West and Chester Council’s External Funding and Partnerships Team will be hosting a free business event at Chester Racecourse in association with Cheshire East and Warrington Councils.

The ‘Brighter Business’ event, which takes place on September 10 from 4pm – 8pm, offers local business owners and entrepreneurs advice on accessing funding and growing their companies. It will feature showcases of successful and inspiring activity, interactive workshops and experts will be on hand to answer questions on a range of business areas.

Workshops topics include:

  • Fund Managers from The North West Fund, which has £170m of funding available to support growing, small and medium sized businesses.
  • Access to Finance NW representatives will be there to offer advice and answer any funding or general support queries.

Further workshops will be announced but are likely to cover a range of topics including Energy Efficiency advice, Cheshire’s Business Growth Hub, Food and Drink Sector and Rural Business Support.

Councillor Herbert Manley, Executive Member for Prosperity, said: “I would urge local businesses to register now for this free event. It is an opportunity to find out about, and be involved in, future plans for Cheshire. This event will help and hopefully inspire our businesses to grow and prosper.”

The Brighter Business event and the support / funding streams being promoted at this event are part funded by the North West European Regional Development Fund.
