Queen's Diamond JubileeThe Diamond Jubilee is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate with family, friends and neighbours over the extended bank holiday weekend. With plans for jubilee events and activities already well underway throughout Cheshire West it’s now even easier to host your own community event, from carnivals and beacons to Big Lunches and fetes.

Cheshire West and Chester Council has waived the road closure fee and the Cheshire Community Foundation has £16,000 available to support community events (£100 per event).  A Jubilee Toolkit, including handy templates, is also available to download which covers everything from insurance advice to funding and activity ideas.

The Safety Advisory Group will be hosting a workshop in March, providing the opportunity for you to discuss and ask questions about your plans. You can register your interest by emailing the address below and you can request a road closure, apply for funding and register your event through one simple form on the jubilee webpage.
