Northwich and Rural North

Talking West Cheshire

Love to Live

Love to LiveThe Northwich and Rural North area is located in the north east of the borough of Cheshire West and Chester.  Northwich is the major town in the area which also includes the rural north settlements of Frodsham, Helsby, Kingsley and Norley, and the urban settlements of Weaverham, Barnton, Leftwich, Hartford and Rudheath.

Northwich is an attractive market town built on a rich salt heritage. It lies in the heart of the Cheshire Plain, at the confluence of the rivers Weaver and Dane. Rich in heritage with distinctive black and white buildings, Northwich has plenty of shops, traditional markets and a programme of special markets including a local food fair and Christmas market.

The pretty market town of Frodsham is full of character with distinctive shops, restaurants and a popular Farmers’ market. Also home to the stunning Castle Park House and Gardens, Castle Park art gallery and Lady Heyes Crafts and Antiques Centre

The area’s rivers and canals provide an endless source of relaxation both on and off the water.  The crowning glory of the local waterways is the world’s first and UK's only working boat lift at Anderton, known as the Cathedral of Canals.

With charming villages that pepper the landscape, an abundance of parks and countryside spaces, fascinating heritage and excellent facilities such as schools, colleges and shopping, Northwich and Rural North is a place to love living in.
