31 January 2012

A North West children’s charity is asking people to organise coffee mornings in February.

The Joshua Tree will mark International Childhood Cancer Day by hosting two of its own coffee mornings in Northwich, Cheshire but is also encouraging people to organise their own.

Charity Founder and CEO of the charity, Lynda Hill, said: “The Joshua Tree will have its own coffee mornings on February 15 but we are actively asking people to arrange their own too.”

Lynda added: “But people don’t have to hold their coffee morning on February 15, they can do them whenever they want during February. Events can be as big or as small as people wish; they can be in their home, workplace or local community.”

Promotional materials including invites and posters are now available from our office in Northwich town centre. Please call us on 01606 331858 to get yours.

The Joshua Tree is currently fundraising to build a Holiday House and Support Centre in Cheshire. The House will be open to families from across the North West of England and North Wales who have a child undergoing treatment for an immune suppressing illness to have a short holiday. While the Support Centre will offer emotional support to these families and act as a drop in resource for families in the local community. The charity has recently purchased land in Sandiway to build the Holiday House and Support Centre.
