Hanging baskets in Upton, Chester
27 August 2010
Extra flower power has come to three areas of Upton,
Chester, in the form of hanging baskets.
The baskets were the idea of the three Upton Councillors - Pat Lott, Hilarie McNae and Jill Houlbrook - who want to bring some extra colour and fun to the area. The baskets, which can be seen at the Bache, Long Lane and Weston Grove, were paid for from the Councillors’ Community Allowances.
"We hope the baskets will brighten up the areas where they are hanging, bring vibrancy to the shops and provide enjoyment for all the residents", said Councillor McNae.
“They have been placed outside shops and we have asked shop keepers and owners to water them.
“Our thanks go to Gary Hulmes from Parks and Open Spaces who organised the baskets for us.”
